Welcome to Padmalaya
Padmalaya is a vaishnava centre "in the making". It is located in Oberhofen, on the picturesque shores of Lake Thun. Our goal is to spread the teachings and the principles of Sanatana Dharma in Switzerland with just one goal: that people can develop their personal relationship with God. Padmalaya is a place of joy, love and happiness.
Currently the centre has not opened yet. We are intensively renovating the house that was abandonned for over 8 years. Please contact us beforehand if you want to visit. Due to renovation work a visit is only possible on certain days.

The Home
"Padma" means lotus. The lotus flower symbolizes rising from a dark place into beauty and light. The meaning of "alaya" is the adobe. So Padmalaya is the home of the lotus. It is the place where people come to rise. Our aim is to help individuals connect to God.
